Junk in the Trunk

Genessa bought a cool trunk at an estate auction this weekend. I really like it. It has really cool embossed tin on the outside. After doing some research, it is dated between 1891-1920 probably closer to 1891 which is when the lock was patented that is on it. Here are a bunch of pictures

(I am showing these pictures to someone who is going to help date the trunk that is why there are so many.)

Tim and Genessa: The comparments in that trunk look a lot like one my dad
had when I was growing up and it was old. My daddy was born in 1880. Was there no date on the newspaper. I know that would not give you a date for the trunk but would tell you when
it was last used probably. The post card certainly looks like the old, old post cards. I remember my mother having some that looked like that or similar. It will be interesting to see how old others think it might be. Are there any relatives of the people who had the estate sale that could give you any
ideas.
God Bless as you try to find the age. I almost said good luck but we know nothing is left to luck, don't we.
I love you both; wish you were able to come down tomorrow night.
Incidentally, I have two friends who do estate sales and they are always working on one. You know the folks who were doing the sale when we did the garage sale.
Love again.

The trunk is cool. Did you ever find anything out about it? Where is Antiques Roadshow when you need it? Love you guys!
